'Face Veil Ban'

French deputies pass face veil ban

Salaam,
So France has finally passed their bill and it will become law in September.

The bill makes it illegal to cover the face anywhere in public and those caught wearing a full veil would face fines of $190 or be ordered to enrol in a "citizenship course".

Am watching Aljazeera english at this very moment so i thought i would blog about it.
These people have problems.

"Its for Security"

"Its for equality...most of the women are forced by their husbands and fathers to wear it"

Grrrrrrr
its really getting on my nerves. I don't wear the niqab but i have high respect for those who do. Am really worried about this....what if this leads to the banning of the hijab?

I am not planning to go to france, but i really feel sorry for the sisters who live there :(

This is just sad and wrong. I don't think they would dare ban hijab, well at least I hope not.

You know though when I was in the 9 th grade in the Middle East we had to take our hijabs off at school even though there were male teachers and guys going in the school. You couldn't wear it no matter what but thankfully the new president changed that and now girls have a choice.
